If you look at the picture below left of the silhouette you can see the new car. It’s really a 4.4.5 rather then a new car. Sorry Charlie, but that picture is of the 4.4 and is a link to an article of the launch of the hybrid in 2015. We still need to wait to see the shape of the 4.5 ... which will be new since it's based on on "Toyota’s New Global Architecture" rather than the current RAV platform. The flanks look different ??

I'm not wild about it, but then I wasn't about the 4.4 - it's not exactly an "I must have one of those" styling but I guess it wouldn't put me off completely if the technical specification was exactly what I wanted. I'm waiting to see a real one rather than an artists impression ... and the tech spec to go with it ...

Wow..... For me , a good chunky design 😊
The concept green one - brilliant.
The real thing , not quite as chunky but nice enough 👍👍 Doubt I'll be able to afford one though☹

My jury is out for a bit yet....... ... likewise ... but that's quite a positive thing for me really - at least it didn't get shot on sight. I like the front - less bland than the 4.4 - and the rear and rear quarters are perfectly acceptable - as they are on the 4.4. But Toyota don't seem to be able to get front quarters (there's probably a better term than that) quite right (exactly as they didn't on the 4.4). The squared-off 'cheeks' around the fog lights do nothing for me:
And I can't see the point in squared-off wheel arches:
Though I guess both of these 'defects' could be disguised by a suitable choice of colour ... At least they have, at last, put the Eco, Normal and Sport buttons in a sensible place ...
So, on balance I'm tending towards no worse and probably better than the 4.4 ...

Quite like that.

... And I can't see the point in squared-off wheel arches:
Now THAT looks like it got hit by the Ugly Stick - if the arch joined up to the bottom strip and bumper strip it might be ok-ish, but as it is it looks like a really cheap add-on from another car.
