Millers diesel treatment improves MPG or best quality fuel does the same. Using Millers works out cheaper if you buy 5 litres at a time. That's what I've done for the past five years, buy a 5 litre can and keep some in a double cap discharge container in the boot, propped upright in my box of 'stuff'. I dose with 50cl every fill up.

Yep, mine has always had rust spots, not badly, but can be seen and that's with me treating them with stainless steel polish and being parked in my garage 98% of the year, I dread to think how bad they would be if being parked outside all year !!!

Adjusted my lights to 'Auto'. Got out of my car tonight, pressed button on door handle to lock, turned around and noticed that my lights were on?! No warning sound given? What's going on?

You saying that they switch off after a certain amount of time after exiting the vehicle? What length is that time delay?

Not sure if you actually have the feature and certainly have no idea of the delay time but it's quite a common feature across most makes, depending on options fitted.

Best just to do the process and stand and watch and see what happens and get to know your car better.

The "follow me home" system is usually activated by pulling the light switch towards you (the flash headlamp action), after the vehicle is switched off and the light switch position is in auto or off.
It's usually on for around 30 seconds. Turn lights off by pulling again.
I think it was present from first 4.3 facelift (2009/2010) onwards.

The "show you home" feature can be very handy to light up the path to the house in the dark. Unless you are like me and always reverse into the driveway I have a "light up your neighbours sitting room" feature. He really loves me!

Ours does that - I can't say I have found it that useful but I don't take too much notice of it either!

On Bin Day I have to wheel it down the road a bit for collection the next morning. I unlock the car and then when I lock it again the headlights come on long enough so I can see where I am going (saves carrying a torch )

Wasn’t actually rust per se, Jamesy......but it was rust........from the wee particles being emitted from brake pads landing on the steps, getting wet, and leaving broon measle spots on the aluminium steps. Guy at Toyota used a paint thickness gauge to try and prove to me mine were lacquered, as opposed to knackered. He read the figure on his paint gauge for the lacquer thickness........and promptly ordered me another pair on a car six months old.....! Replacements must indeed have SOME coating as not recurreded. Ah remember that!
