Crikey... Good info there Charlie. Well , yesterday when Toyota rang me to say the warranty company didn't want my car driven anymore. I very politely asked for a courtesy vehicle to use as transport whilst mine is inspected. He said he'd ring back later But 24 hrs later, still no reply. I need transport , I'm having to drive the Rav as I've nothing else. I need to get to work , we've no public transport here. I would try The AA but I hav'nt actually broken down yet. It's a dilemma. ‘‘Tis a a shame you don’t live closer Jamie I wudda lent you the Road Rocket AKA the IQ.....It runs on fumes you know. Not sure if I ever mentioned that Ha ha 😂😂 Cheers Charlie, that would have saved me some fuel too. I'll keep Raving , be it for good or bad - going to give it til tomorrow evening. Then I may ask for a meeting with Steven Eagell himself - the owner of the franchise's in East Anglia.

Success......
Well , for getting a non chargeable loan vehicle.
Been loaned a hiace van from Toyota.
Apparently it's a trade in they've just taken.
But.... it's a vehicle that's useable whilst they hold mine for engine inspection.
Collect it after work..
Edit.. .
Well , it's a white Hiace 10 reg with 72k miles. Like a tardis in the back.
Used to belong to a mobility company locally.
It's great , it'l do fine for a few weeks.
Just given it a good hoover out.😂 like new inside now.

Had what must have been a Proace Verso long wheelbase on hire last year from Arnie. Guess it must be the replacement of the Previa (a vehicle that had a mid-engine and was one of the best cars I've ever had, petrol and auto but a habit of disintegrating the radiator). Then I see the Proace has a 150hp engine? Is this the same as the troubled lump? Quite gobsmacked that your car needs a new engine!! Never mind- you can become white-van-man for a spell; drive like an eejit; and chuck parcels into gardens..... If you have time, I have an old very heavy concrete step in my back garden needing taken to the coup?

And just in case anyone from Toyota reads this. It will only be used for essential journeys.... nothing more.

A bliddy van ? You are joking right ?? Nope , it's great - it's a little ' commercial '😂😂 but it's got tons of space. Big sluggish being a van , I've also given it a proper inside clean as it was.. yuk , for my own sanity. But... it's the only vehicle they had sitting around. Alas.... it's transport for a few weeks , for which I'm grateful 😊

Rucksacks, Bikes.... For the kind of Pasttimes Jamie has, a Van is - IMO - a lot more useful then the typical small hatch usually provided as a courtesy vehicle.

That’s actually a proper Hiace and not the newer Peugeot badged as Toyota. In good condition they are worth a fortune.
