I'm really looking forward to seeing the new one in the metal as all of the reports I've seen so far have been very good. I wonder whether the Hybrid will have a CVT or a proper TC auto. If the former, I hope it doesn't have the usual high-rev CVT characteristic.

Think I’m sat on the fence with this one. I love the interior it’s just those arches I’m not sure about. Think once I see it in the flesh it might turn me

... I wonder whether the Hybrid will have a CVT or a proper TC auto. If the former, I hope it doesn't have the usual high-rev CVT characteristic. It's going to be a variation on Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive which is neither really - it certainly won't be a "proper TC auto". The hybrid power unit in the RAV 4.5 is derived from, and won't be that different to, the equivalent system in a RAV 4.4. We have a number of members with hybrid RAVs and I don't recall hearing any complaints ... ... I suspect it will be somewhat "rev-ier" than a diesel manual ...

It looks a bit more 'rugged ' than the current one. Need to see it in the flash, but the big drawback for me is no diesel.

Sorry chaps but I like it very much, the only snag is that I won't be allowed to buy one as we can't afford it.

Is the new car in the showrooms yet/anytime soon? Can't be far away.
Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh.

Is the new car in the showrooms yet/anytime soon? Can't be far away. Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh. It will be in Toyota showrooms from February 2019 according to the Toyota web site. And, according to the blog "the first customer deliveries will commence in April 2019. Please note that deliveries of AWD-i models will commence in May 2019."

I'm still waiting for all the older Ravs to nose dive in price and pick up a bargain...but they never do.....and that's one of the many reasons we all have them 😂

The 2015-2016 models are still commanding good money ..did look up a petrol auto a while back ..oddly with winter on the way those ones I saved on the Auto trader have since all sold .
