Just bought a low mileage 2006 model. It replaces my 1999 1st generation RAV4. Any issues to be aware of?

Welcome. Shouldn't be many issues. Does it have a full and complete Toyota service record? Would be worth checking the filler pipe behind the cover panel to front of nearside rear wheel arch. They have been known to corrode if dirt has built up behind there. If you do plan to remove the cover, be sure to use some penetrating fluid on the nuts as the studs are pretty thin and can snap off or twist the fixing brackets off.
Check it has had any recalls attended too - your friendly MrT should be able to tell from the VIN.

Many thanks for the advice. Just picked the car up. The snow held off and it’s tucked up in the garage. As expected, I had to remove the antenna. Already ordered a shorter replacement.

Hi and welcome!
It will like a drink or two of petrol but should be good to own and run.

Or this may help to check for a recall: www.toyota.co.uk/owners/vehicle-information/recall-checker.json
