I don't think I need it.. I presume the rav4 handles like any fwd car and not worse ie without 4wd its more difficult in winter? Cheers I can’t see why the FWD Rav4 would be any worse than any other FWD vehicle. Fit a good set of tyres like the popular cross climates and it should be fine. The driver is 7 tenths of the equation anyway. If you don’t need the capability of AWD why pay for it. We live out in the sticks on high ground and I’ve convinced myself to keep our RAV4 which is AWD. Only one winter in the four we’ve been here have we really needed it. If it wasn’t for my perceived need for AWD we wouldn’t keep the Rav I would have a proper luxury car like a big Jag XJ..... There also comes a time when cars aren’t worth a lot so why sell...... I bet most of us could manage fine with FWD....

Just had a closer look at the photos ...crease below the fuel filler cap and the n/s/r bumper cap pushed it but may pop back to shape with some heat on it .

Much lighter which should improve handling. Course it won’t be quicker being a 1.8 but I bet there wouldn’t be much in it...

Few stats... Both manual gearboxes.. 2.0 4x4 147bhp, 0-60 11 secs, mixed mpg 32.1 road tax x 12 =£330 1.8 2x4 127bhp, 0-60 12.7 secs, mixed mpg 38.2 road tax x 12=£240👍🏻

Seen this one.. they say it will come with fresh MOT and fully valeted Looks nice but is MOT history a bit suspect..ie had a hard life ? linkIMHO the MoT history seems to indicate that the car has been poorly maintained by someone (or a number of someones) with little or no mechanical sympathy. I know that RAVs are robust but any neglected car risks harbouring nasty surprises. Everything can be put right at a cost but why not wait until you find a good one or spend the money needed to sort it on a better, later car? Especially as you are now looking for a manual, which I would guess there are alot more than there are autos, so more choice.

What about this one ? linkYou really should look closely at Jases car..... Most cars will need money slending. Just add a set of tyres and a battery typical winter stuff and a cheap 2K car will owe you 2600 and it won’t be worth a penny more Buying a car that has been really well looked after with nothing to spend is the way to go. Trouble is irs so damn rare to find one anyway. Your not far up the road so give it some thought. If you view that car you will buy it. I’m likely the fussiest on this forum and I would buy it. No question.

Looks like Jases car is going to be out of my budget as quite rightly he's waiting for a bidding war. What about this one. The guy sounds genuine. says its been well looked after and garaged every night he's going to send me a video tomorrow link
