Saga Insurance.....I used the expression Bull Bar and they refused to insure me on the premise that a Bull Bar can do more damage in the event of a collision. Tell your insurance nothing. It is purely an aesthetic add on, albeit they would NOT replace it as part of any claim. It’s plastic and aluminium and lighter than ma frisbee. Hi Kev. When i checked with Mrs Ps insurance bull bar was in the list of mods so clicked on it and the policy didn't change so presume it was ok?

So we went along and got the bumper and here it is along with the instructions. The owner took all the bits and pieces from the previous 2004 Rav they owned hoping it would fit the newer 2006 Rav they bought but none did. He told me it's not easy to fit and to be careful of the clips breaking behind the corner panel? He also had a template when fitted from new that marked the holes to drill, is there any chance of getting one of those still or should i use masking tape round the area to be drilled? Overall very pleased with it :TU: Our Rav by the way was brilliant on the motorway and the cruise control worked a treat, Mrs P loves it

Pretty sure that the hole positions are marked/moulded on the back of the bumper Paul. See #10 on page 6.

Thanks for the info David though your time of 45mins is less than the seller told me yesterday, he reckons it would be a good half a day?

What would the protective tape be required as in page 5? Some is used to protect surfaces from scratching/scraping and it would appear that some is used to make 'pulling tabs' to help with disassembly Paul. Do you have any plastic trim removal tools? If not there's loads of options on the bay for not alot of money. I bought a 'mid price' set a few years ago and use them far more than I thought I would. Sorry David seemed to have missed this post but no don't but will get a set. Any recommendations?

I have a set of nylon ones that I got in TK Maxx a few years back but they are still available there (or they were the last time I was in). Dave is right about how handy they are. I have used them a lot since I bought them. :TU:

I took mine off to fit some air horns and a mesh grill to protect the radiator (I'd recommend adding a mesh grill while it is handy to do - the lower radiator is quite exposed). I will dig out the photos to go with the thread.

I don't think you'll go far wrong with Amazon. They're all pretty similar anyway. :TU:
