He said they need doing but will be ok for a while, thinking he'd be changing them sooner rather than later Bob, well this week he said, but i was originally changing them as i have the discs and bought new pads just to get them done out the way :TU:

Different from popping over for just a chat and coffee.

Perhaps if we took it to a pub car park we could meet and do the work there

Well we took the Rav along to the local Toyota for it's MOT this morning and are pleased to say that it passed with flying colours with no advisories at all :TU: While we were there they were doing promotions on the Toyota range and got talking to one of the sales blokes and we got to test drive the CHR, well Mrs P did and she loved it considering when she sat in one a few years ago she didn't like it at all. The passenger seat height for me was ok once it had been pumped up but still not like the Rav for getting in and out of??

Great news on the mot pass 😎 But bad news if you are chopping it in for a CHR. Didn’t Ash have problems with winter condensation on the inner screen and touch display ?

Cheers Bob and no we won't be chopping it in  well not yet anyway Yes i did ask about the issues Ash is having but as usual he hadn't heard of any problems at all with the CHR apart from the 1.2 engine on the earlier models not been economical to run, which is why they are either a 1.8 or 2.0 engines now, we test drove the 1.8 and that was nippy enough. We also got a test drive report that tracked Mrs Ps driving, mainly i think as the sales bloke isn't allowed to come in the car on the test drive, and she averaged as 62% was in EV mode and an average of 64mpg, that was on a 45 minute drive mainly on busy A roads and quieter B roads, but i was just surprised now that Mrs P does like the CHR now We also could've test drove the new Rav, top of the range model with all the extras fitted, the new managers own car, but just looking at it, it's massive and far to big just for the two of us

I was lucky to find this genuine rear step/bar for the Rav which is in great condition :TU: looks like it'll just need new bolts and washers  So that's a few jobs now i've gotta do including the rear door check strap and to fit the door handle inserts that Uncle Bob kindly guided me to a while ago :TU: Just in time for the cold weather

Nice one Paul. Probably a good idea to give the steel brackets a coat of hammerite before fitting. I was shocked to see how badly the brackets on mine had corroded.

Cheers David :TU: The brackets attached are still solid surprisingly but i will strip it all down and give it all a coating of some sort of protection.
