I'm loving this. It seems that we are still satisfied with our RAVs and our two are still going strong. I also came to the conclusion that I couldn't find another car that suited my needs for size and reliability, and will stick with them for the foreseeable future. 141000 miles on the Spanish car and just 44000 on the UK one.

Yep, still have the RAV. Joined when I was looking for one. Still enjoy it and it does what I need (lately being sitting idle...)

Yup......sold Funnerburd Too and bought wife a five door 2006 with 52k on it........2 litre petrol Nottymatic........now on first name terms with all local petrol station owners. it's a shame the uk isn't doing E85 fuel, i am still only paying 60-70 cents a litre here in France and the car runs fine with the 120€ convertion kit. Normally I would say if you are planning a touring trip to France it is worthwhile, but under the circumstances maybe not at the moment.

I joined this forum from the start and really love and enjoy being in here. Made some great friends too and always appreciate the help and info from everyone when needed. Some of the advice has been fantastic especially from the guys who are specialised in their field of work so 🍻 to everyone. Going back to the original question I swapped my T180 for a C-HR which was probably the best car I’ve ever had and was sad to let it go. unfortunately it was becoming really difficult to drive a manual. On the bright side we still have our 4.2 which is here to stay. The 4.2 is the 7th Rav we’ve owned and have never regretted owning one.

Sorry. Not me, had 2 x 4.2's and a 4.3 The 4.3.5 🤔 just didn't appeal ( didn't like the design) I'll be back when the new ones drop in value.
And I joined many years ago, because of the very helpful folk on here. And followed from the other place.
I do miss a Rav4, and miss Toyota ownership.

I came across the RAV4 by chance. I'd been driving a Lexus when I had a rheumatic illness that made it difficult for me to get in and out of the car. My local garage had a 1999 Rav 4 that had done around 96000 miles which I bought for £2000 in 2014. I put 6000 miles on to and sold it 4 years later. I didn't have a single problem with it - just service and MOT. Then I discovered another RAV4 - a 2006 model that had done just 22000 miles that looked a drove like new. I just love this car. I'm over my illness now. But I don't see myself ever needing to replace this car. We use my wife's car mostly. I visit friends in Bournemouth and Portsmouth regularly - round trips of 40 and 100 miles and the RAV is just perfect for me. 14 years old, it's now up to 28000.
I had a RAV when I joined. And it's great to pop into a troll free zone!

Yes Mrs P is on her fourth Rav now and still loves them as much now as from the first day she drove one which was purely by chance as we had stopped off at a garage on our way back from a visit to friends, that was selling a Triumph TR4, I was looking at the Triumph while Mr P wondered off and was looking at a Rav GX. The sales bloke came out and asked if we would like a test drive and that was it she loved it

Best car I ever had, and I was a fool to sell it all those years ago, hindsight eh! We originally went to look at a Lexus RX, which I have to say I loved, but on the way home we saw our 4.3 with only 17000 miles and absolutely mint, and my wife loved it, and the rest is history and 43000 miles now, and still mint. a 4.2 followed for Spain, and at 260000kms, still going strong. We cant see ourselves changing soon, but Don's Lexus looks niiiice!

They also had a Rav convertible at the same time which I remember quickly looking at but didn't know a thing about Ravs at the time, and still don't which was why I joined this forum, well the other forum and started asking questions

Just recently retired my rav4.2 three door to the garage, needs a bit of work underneath unfortunately. Will never part with it though, it’s just having a rest whilst I drive a lease car for two years. Starting to miss it 😔
