Now that does look nice. Jamie you know well Iโve questioned a couple of your car choices.... Honds Jazz then the Auris or whatever it was ... But given your pursuits that new motor should be bang on. Looks spot on too ๐๐๐

Thank you folks. Still a few buttons to figure out ๐ค Yep... I do like blue ๐คฃ๐คฃ And yes Charlie , even mumsy agrees it's more me ๐๐ They supaguarded the whole car before I collected it , and they included a complete supaguard kit. A whole bag of 6 bottles of various supaguard , they even included thin spare wheel and boot storage trim for under the false boot floor. All included in the price. Plus first 3 services , full Rac cover too. I'm not sure on supaguard though ,looks good on Utube. It's done 1k miles.

Supaguard and the like is great if it is applied properly. The problem is that many dealers used to entrust it to the apprentice in the body shop who usually didn't have a clue. These days though, I'm sure they take it more seriously. In any event, Jamie, you've got the dealer's warranty with it so it should be fine.

Definitely use the Supagard on the wheels Jamie. I bought some cans cheaply on ebay way back and use it on all our cars wheels once in a while. It really helps make cleaning off brake dust so much easier.

The Supagard will indeed gradually break down over time but certainly not in the first wash Jamie. Just top it up a couple of times a year.

If I wash it with Turtle wax and rain water , will it wash supaguard off ? Sorry . . I'm a little nieve ๐ค Our 3-dr has Supaguard which seems to have been applied well. It gets washed with Simonize Wash/Wax about once a week and dried off with Last Touch detailer and a drying towel. I've also waxed it a couple of times with Megiures as well as Simonize Colour Wax. So far the Supaguard still seems to be intact.

As Jim says Jamie, get some wax on there and you'll not have any problems. I've been converted to Colinite 456. Brilliant stuff - water just beads up and rolls off. Can't think where I heard about it......

Supagauerd is rubbish. Sorry it just is. Mate used to try and sell us the dealer kits for a fiver. I hung on to my coin.

Looks great Jamie :TU: Did it come with the matching day sack and Kag? ๐๐ Crikey I wish, again... I had to search for an Ospray back pack... in blue. It's a 30ltr, used it on the coast to coast walk a few years ago. The jacket is Paramo, blue - it's what the mountain rescue teams wear. It breathes brilliantly, again - with nikwax treatment water just beads off. I never get damp inside or even wet , and has lifetime g/tee. Boots are brasher supalight... fantastic leather boots with open soft compound soles. It all costs quite a lot, but it's over many years of learning what works.๐๐
