Wow, I’m feeling some serious anti Kent vibes here. Probably the most important county in the country historically.
It does suffer from ‘London EU spill over’ in some parts but further down is still nice!

Kent's nice enough but 450+ miles from me Out of curiosity, why do you think it is historically most important? Vera Lynn?

Battle of Britain was defended from here. I believe has the largest castle in the country- Dover (need to check that) D day was overseen from the castle as well. Remained Un conquered by William in the Norman invasions I like it here🤙

Anchorman's is always central to all of us. Peak district area. Or south Yorkshire , I'm not a fan of big towns... prefer a travel lodge & pub for meal for the weekend.

Anywhere is fine for me. Not been to Kent for a while but a trip would be OK. Brum's OK as is the Lake District. I used to live there and was quite pleased to leave. Only problem for me is deciding which car to use - the RAV or the Saab? Hmm....

Battle of Britain was defended from here. Was it? I'm sure Lincolnshire would have something to say about that
