I've read a lot about this Rav having issues starting when the engine is hot. We have had ours for about two years now and it happened to me yesterday. I had been driving for about 20 minutes when I stopped to buy a pint of milk, got back in and it would'nt start. The engine turned over really well but would not fire. Having read about this I knew to leave it 5 or 10 minutes, this I did, after which it started as if nothing wrong. There are various opinions around the internet as to what it could be, Starter motor, injector rings, new injectors etc but none seem to fix it. Is there an answer to this problem or have I just got to live with it. Thanks in advance
Craig

I seem to remember a lot of discussion with regard to SCV valve sticking. Some had success with taking off and cleaning, others replaced. Cleaning of various earthing points seems to have helped others. As Anchorman would likely say, when was the fuel filter last changed?

The Battery is only two months old, the fuel filter changed last year. It is due a service next month so I will get him to change fuel filter again. When I tried to start it it turned over really well, did'nt labour at all. Are the original toyota SCV valves the one's to go for or are there better ones to get. Thanks Craig

I put a huge battery on my old Rav4, biggest with highest cca I could find.
Did make a difference, then tried new starter motor too.
Alas.... after spending many many pounds.
I gave up.
Some say , injector seals....
