As provided, the Toyota Front Mudflaps cannot be fitted to the RAV4.3 with Premium Side Steps (the Premium Steps are the ones with the rubber dots all around them). This is due to the way the Step front protrudes over the rear part of the arch. Protrusion by David, on Flickr It is fairly simple to adapt the flap to allow it to fit by removing the area of the flap that interferes. The following are some pictures show the adaptation. The basic process is to offer up the mudflap and carefully remove some material, offer up again and adapt further until the removed part matches the step interference shape. Remember once bits are removed, you cannot put it back so go carefully! This photo shows the mudflap with the portion removed SRFlap-FLCut by David, on Flickr Here is the mudflap in place SRFlap-FRRear by David, on Flickr You can see here the cutout required has various curves and angles to match the step And from the "nice" side SRFlap-FRFront by David, on Flickr End result looks good. It is a shame that Toyota don't make an alternative mudflap for the Premium Steps as the flaps go a very good job on the RAV4, but as can be seen from the photos it is easy enough to adapt your own :TU:
