Thu Mar 13, 2014 5:35 pm #1 Uncle bob Today I found a few hours to set about the front brakes and suspension, all the brakes were stripped off and taken down to the shed. I wire brushed the front suspension parts and gave them a coat of gloss black. Although the garage had replaced the front pads, they had bed in on corroded discs on their inner edges, so time to throw the discs and pads in the bin. After an inspection of the brake parts, I've ordered, Delphi disc and pad package, plus a brake pad fitting kit. Will post up caliper shot soon. Today's suspension makeover...... Only ordered them yesterday, listed as standard delivery :s_yahoo Front calipers stripped for inspection and parts cleaned for painting... Caliper and carrier painted, along with new discs....... Found time to get the brakes back on the vehicle, I'm pleased with the result......will never look this clean again :s_yes This is the vacuum bleeder I use, it's a marine item for getting the oil out of boat engines (you can't lay under a boat and remove the drain plug :s_biggrin ), it works on most fluids and I added a clear pipe to bleed out the brakes, so I can watch for bubbles.......
