Ever felt stupid? I replaced an earlier RAV4 with a 2006 model last year. I was surprised by the acceleration I was getting and often mentioned to my wife that my RAV performed more like her car when it was in sports mode. It took me 2500 miles before I realised that I had been using gear 3 instead of D! After switching to D my fuel consumption went from 28.2 mpg to 32.2mpg. I suppose I can at least offer comments on the fuel comparisons between D and 3 which I have seen discussed on other forums.

I only found out when I had to use it and asked her the question. She thought if it was switched off it would be more economical 🤣🤣🤦🏻♂️
