Are all 1.8 Ravs just two wheel drive?
A friend of Mrs P at works likes her black Rav and is thinking of getting a 4 wheel drive motor, so Mrs P has recommended the Rav saying they come in a 1.8 and 2.0l models but wasn't sure if the 1.8s are four wheel drive??

As far as I know, Paul, 1.8s were few and far between in the UK and were FWD only, as was the NV base model.

I don't think there were that many around....seen a handful for sale when looking for 3 door versions. I don't know much about the engine on these but would guess it will be more economical to run.

Apart from the mangled rest bumper on the first one, they both seem in reasonable nick. But they'd need a fair bit of TLC to bring them up to any kind of keeper condition. Damn good winter hacks as you say, Bob. It's interesting how RAVs, even 4.1s seem to be largely rust resistant. Extremely good build quality.

Most of that rear bumper would pop out with a heat gun ..and no paintwork to worry about 👍🏻 Have notice more Rav4’s are being sold going by the 3 and 5 door models I have saved on AutoTrader....it’s the season for the 4x4 😉
