Just been looking at the new Toyota Supra and I really like the look of it (no chance of driving one though 😔) will be available as a 3.0 and 2.0 which will have the same engine as the BMW 😔 always liked the Supra growing up and wanting one.
What are your thoughts?

I have seen the supra on a couple of forums and agree with the opinions in that it’s bloody awful.
FFS Toyota get a grip. After the disaster that was the 86 I had hoped for more. Much more.

I loved the old Supra (the shark-nosed one with pop-up headlights, not the previous Celica Supra) and test drove a few of them with an idea to buy - a used one, I might add! But the demands of family outweighed my petrolhead ambition so I never got around to it.
I wouldn't go for a new one, simply too expensive for the relatively small amount of driving we do now but maybe in a few years when they hit the second-hand market.......

The cost is ridiculous to be honest. I see the Corolla is back in the UK again. Well o think it’s an Auris and they’ve changed the name back to Corolla. Looking at the YouTube videos there are some good specs including a 2.0 hybrid

Looking at the YouTube videos there are some good specs including a 2.0 hybrid Corolla looks nice... But the top spec one is well over 32K which is very very expensive for a car like that.

Like thousands of others i've waited for months for this release.
But... I reckon it'l be another flop.
It's almost too conservative.
Too expensive, and.... please Toyota, build your own cars 😕

The Supra will no doubt be a good car but too much money for me! Some people will have that kind of money for a car (which is fine) and others will buy on PCPs etc (which is also their choice so fair enough) but it is just too pricey for me and I have my own self imposed rule that if I couldn't afford to buy it new then I wouldn't buy it used either because the running costs would no doubt be too high.

I did sit in an Supra back in 1993 and thought it a bit too plasticy - decided to buy a 1990 Celica GT4 instead. Much nicer inside. The last Supra looked good though.
And the GT86 ..... Shock Horror, I thought that looked nice and way better then all the Hot Hatch rubbish apperance-wise.
Not played the video yet, but going by the Thumbnail it looks smart.
