Good morning All,
slightly frosty start this morning and it appears that the drivers door mirror was the only one being heated. Does anyone know if both mirrors should be heating or whether, like my wife's Micra, only the drivers side is heated?
If both should be heated, can anyone please suggest what may be the cause of the passengers side not working?
Not had the car too long so up until this morning it wasn't an issue.
Many thanks, Phil.

On all my 4.2's, both mirrors were heated. If one isn't working it's most likely that there is a break in the wiring loom between the A-pillar and the door.

Could be that the element has fried or that one of the connectors to the back of the glass has simply come adrift.

On the glass there is usually a little symbol that indicates if it is a heated element or not.
If the symbol is there and it is not demisting, probably faulty. likely element is burnt out (if this was a VW, that would be the case on 99.9% of mirrors). If symbol not there, maybe one side was not heated (I thought it was either both or neither) or the heated glass maybe replaced in the past with a plain glass)

The mirrors are heated on our 4.2. The old 4.3 stopped working and had it replaced by Toyota. IIRC someone mentioned they’re quite easy to replace so maybe worth getting a price from Kingo
