I checked the oil on the Yaris today and it’s slightly below the full marker can I use the same oil that I used in the 4.3? 5W 30, The Yaris is a 1.4 diesel

I just did this check for the Rav and it's saying to use fully synthetic but i'm sure it was semi synthetic I was using in the Blue Rav?? |

I bought mine from Ebay and just looked at the ad again and it is saying fully syn in the main ad then it says semi syn in the other description so not sure what it is so will contact the seller.

Virtually all car engine oils are suitable for both Diesel and Petrol engines.... But check your specific type and brand for sure.. Semi synthetic may be good enough but I’ve always used fully synth no matter what and the correct grade. Oil is cheap Engines are expensive. Hardly a waste using better than required. I’ve just this morning changed the oil in my Rav which demands 0W30 grade fully synthetic low ash/saps c2..... I buy in bulk 20 litre containers to keep the cost down. 0/30 is quite expensive. Your oil should be fine Paul but you MUST check to be certain. 👍 |
