I've got one of those too - and I believe that it represents reasonable value. Don't overlook an associated condition: " Your car must be serviced and inspected by an Authorised Toyota Service Centre at least once a year or more frequently for high mileage use, as set out in your service record booklet. Regular servicing means your car is safer, more reliable and more enjoyable to drive. It can also help to increase the car's value when you come to sell it." So, you have to pay for servicing on top and failure to maintain the service record will / may invalidate the warranty. I went for the maintenance plan too ... at least I pretty much know what the next two years motoring is going to cost me! (bar fuel) Some think that degree of certainty is worth having and are happy to pay the cost of that "insurance" - others will prefer to keep the cash firmly in their pockets and manage the 'risk' if and when it occurs - our community is divided between the two camps!

I agree it’s great value two years for that price and as you say includes breakdown cover which would be £130 for the two years on its own 👍🏻👍🏻

I have my Car serviced at my local Toyota dealership which is only a couple of miles away. i like the "insurance" view as i can then budget and not worry about any unforeseen expenditure. I sleep better at nights that way .i get that others may wish to hang on to their hard earned and maybe are better qualified to deal with any mechanical problems that may occur. After all it is a Toyota and they never go wrong!!

After all it is a Toyota and they never go wrong!! Turbocharger partial failure ... need to send it away for inspection as it may not be covered! Leaving you with a potential bill of £3000 ... Less than impressed by the sucking in of teeth from the warranty insurance company (Toyota!!). I only took it out as I wanted to budget, and couldn't deal with a large bill, which was what I could have ended up with, as it is I decided that it wasn't worth repairing or taking a gamble on it being covered, so have got a new (not Toyota) car on the way ... delivery expected middle of December :driving:

OK, yes, but ... reading the small print in the warranty terms and conditions ... The warranty covers all Protected Parts A Protected Part is "Each mechanical or electrical part of the Protected Vehicle which is not an Excluded Part for which the Warranty Provider will provide Cover." An Excluded Part is "Any part listed in Clause 4.1, which is excluded from the Cover." ... sigh ... and Clause 4.1 states: "the following parts are Excluded Parts: - All body panels and paintwork.
- All items of exterior and interior trim including brightwork.
- Any battery other than the high voltage battery in a hybrid vehicle that is used for the propulsion of such vehicle.
- Any windscreen or other window that has suffered impact damage.
- All consumable items including without limitation fuel; engine oil; door and other lubricants; brake fluid; power steering fluid,
windscreen washer fluid; air conditioning recharges and any following parts which are deficient merely as result of usage: air filter; oil filters; brake pads; clutch plates; drive/cam belts; spark plugs; windscreen wiper blades; light bulbs and fuse; and tyres.
- An exhaust system which is deficient solely as a result of corrosion.
- A wheel or wheel cover that is deficient merely as a result of abrasion, corrosion or impact damage.
- Any Protected Part that has suffered a Mechanical or Electrical Failure as a result of the Protected Vehicle sustaining external impact damage.
- All non standard Toyota parts."
Now, if you've followed all of that you will see that the turbo charger is NOT an excluded part and therefore MUST be covered. So, a failed turbo charger MUST be repaired / replaced under the warranty. Other folks experience and mileage may vary as they say, but if my turbo fails within the next two years, they WILL fix it!

This the warranty that we bought for our 4.3 and it was now 12 years old so couldn’t really grumble. Last year it had a new EGR valve and some other work under warranty which came to just over a grand sonwell worth the price. Have now sold the car last week and transferred the warranty to the new owner for a £20 admin fee. A good selling point too if you decide to sell your Rav
