Where’s Jamie ? Don't tempt him Charlie - I suspect this is the motor he dreams about!

That front bumper set up is soooo OTT The guy reckons he uses it for shooting and fishing. I suspect that if you winged a rhino with that front winch you wouldn't have to resort to any other sort of weapon. The problem comes when you wing a pedestrian.............. and while I have your attention Jamie, put me out of my misery and tell me where your avatar was taken, i.e. what can I see in the background. I know you are a fan of the Lakes but I can also think of places in north Wales and Scotland that would provide a similar backdrop. Needless to say, I'm envious

Ha haaaaaa.
you're right its in the lakes -It's on Helvellyn summit looking south east towards Striding Edge.
We were doing the helvellyn horseshoe, up from Glenridding to striding edge along helvellyn and down swirrel edge.
Unfortunately, no roads.... anywhere near that summit. Need about 6 hours to walk around it. Love it up there 👍

All I can say is, it's a good Mrs BK was there to keep feeding you the tranquilisers
The road he's moaning about Jamie is the one that starts near Sellafield and goes via the Wrynose and Hardnott passes to Ambleside. They are just not used to decent roads in Scotland ( - and they lack a sense of adventure! ) ( and they are not much good with a hangover either )

Love it up there 👍 It's a few years since my last trip along Striding Edge Jamie, but as it's fairly close to me I'll put it on my list of "to do before I get too old" walks. Last year about this time, there was an offer by Northern Rail for day trips to Windermere from my local station for £10, I had a brilliant day out so must see if the offer is repeated this year.

Slightly off topic but I've yet to do Sharp Edge on Blencathra in the lakes. A reasonable scramble ,but... in the right conditions ! Wet and windy it's outright dangerous , so it'l wait for next summer 😊

I'm a great fan of a good scramble! ( - but you are spot on about weather conditions ) I think my favourite is still Pavey Ark. Other good ones are Crib Goch, Aonach Eagach and A'Chir if you don't mind going further afield.

I watch on utube " Scotland's mountains " he's a great bloke and some of his hikes and climbs are just spectacular. I'm seriously envious.
