Hello All, The fuel consumption on my RAV 4.4 has taken a tumble and I suspected the MAF may be dirty. The car is running really great with lots of power but on similar runs to last year I am getting about 10 mpg less
I took the tubes apart to clean the wire with carb cleaner but there isn’t a wire to clean. Can these MAF’s be cleaned and if so how.
Regards
Keith

Just before you dismantle the car, the fuel consumption always drops significantly when temp drop. Measure brim to brim to be sure. Also, on previous car i had the front calipper binding a bit, and that affected fuel consumption heavily (check if wheels are hot after a drive).
