The driver side window washer seemed very poor compared to the other side (isn't that always the case with scratches, marks, bird poo etc?!). So I had it changed at my garage for a new one. It seems better but it still seems to shoot low on the screen compared to the other side. Is there any way of adjusting the nozzle to fix this? Rav4 mk3 XTR 2.2.
Edit, I've just had another play around with it on my drive and I can't make my mind up if it's a weaker jet than the passenger side or if it's angled lower? But it definitely doesn't seem as 'powerful' as the passenger side. Also, when I lifted the bonnet up to see if I could adjust it (it doesn't appear so), the new nozzle was dripping fluid quite profusely although it did stop eventually.

Can’t say I’ve ever had to alter the spray height but we used to alter them by putting a sewing needle into the jet and moving it up. A tiny bit really raises the spray pattern so just a wee bit at a time. As for the pressure I’d blow the tubes through with compressed air but ONLY if there are no connections you can’t get at …

I'm not sure about the ones on mine, I'm tending to think they're fixed, hence my question. To get at the nozzles, there's a cover on the underside of the bonnet that is held in place with big black 'buttons'. I've tried pulling the cover away next to one of these but even with considerable pressure it wouldn't release. Obviously I don't want to break anything so I didn't pull any harder. Do they simply pull off?

Do they simply pull off? As above Steve I’ve never had to adjust on my two Toyotas as far as I can recall. I’d have a fair bet they can be adjusted though. I’ve done them on various other cars and the wee jet is like a stainless ball and very easy to adjust. If you can’t alter it then your new jet clearly isn’t the correct part. I know I used to set the point at which the water hits the screen to be high up as the wind at speed drives the water down. What one man puts together another can take apart . It’s a case of you need to clear it rather than just want too. Me I’d get it apart and if I break it I buy a new one. They will be stiff especially if it’s cold so warm gently with a heat gun if you have one or a hairdryer. When re asembling put a drop of liquid soap on the parts and they will go together much easier.

I took it back to the garage and explained that despite them fitting a new nozzle it was no better. Anyway, they found that there was a blockage, cleared it and all is well. Why they just originally fitted a new nozzle (without looking elsewhere for the problem) and then didn't even check to see if it had fixed the problem lord knows. Thanks for your help and suggestions.
