Stating the obvious: - It's 12 years old
- The MoT history doesn't look too worrying
- It's a 150 bhp, 2.2 D-CAT Auto meaning that it should be nice to drive and an engine 'generation' later than the most fragile of the 2AD series
- It's a D-CAT so it will be blessed with a full complement of emission control complexities, should run very clean, and have plenty of scope for associated issues

Clarki I don’t know if you know the chequered history with the engines in the 2006 to 2012/13 Mk3 cars. To this day 14 years after it started engines are still failing. It is entirely possible that car might never have been affected Or it may have had its engine replaced. My opinion to anyone considering a diesel Mk is don’t…..

We had a 12-reg D-car auto. Lovely car, no issues but the mpg wasn’t great - about 32-34 but it improved once I fitted a Lindop chip.
