My central (by handbrake, not front panel) socket has no power. I've checked all fuses, none blown.
Reaching in through the handbrake lever gaiter, I could get enough leverage on the coin slot to pop that out.
I can feel the back of the lighter unit and can feel two "unused" spade connectors... obviously somethings popped off...
Unsure though how to remove the unit (it has/had) a sprung cover (long since broken), reaching through the coin slot, I can't get enough leverage to pop it up to look through!
Any ideas?

Plastic trim tool and pry? Trying... not budging, merely flexing all the plastic.. Going to have to remove the entire centre unit I think.

Can you pop out the plastic gear lever surround and go in from the direction with your fingers ? I have, but insufficient access for my short and pudgy fingers. Good thought though, thanks.

Time to take the rear concel/armrest out then ☹️☹️ Think that's a task for me and my best mate to tackle. Hopefully the kettle will hold out for the frequent tea breaks needed!!

You should try changing the cabin / pollen filter on an IQ…. first off the sill cover on the passenger side has to come off to allow a left side moulding to come off in order to strip the big panel in front of the passenger side knee. That allows the side panel near the heater to be prised upwards so we can just about see the the filter door, fiddling it off not easy. Then after removing the heater vent to even see the filter slot was next. Then out slides the filter. Getting the new one in a right pain but fitting the door back on just painfull. I have extremely large hands which doesn't help.. Then put it all back together. I suppose it’s because it’s a small car outside but surprisingly big inside means stuff is crammed in….. 👍👍

Yes upside down for sure. Filter as large but thin and was trying to fold which didn’t help… I could do one fairly easy now it’s a case of working it out as you go along. Thankfully it’s not a filter that needs changing every year. The one in the Rav4 is about as easy as it gets. As an aside I’ve been changing the engine oil and filter in the RAV4 every year even though it’s doing such little mileage. It’s done 500 miles since it’s last change and I’m hesitating whether to change it or not. Cars only done decent runs no short ones . I have the filter and oil here but unsure what to do 👍👍
