Hi.
Bought a 2003 4-door Rav4 MkII, last year and absolutely love it! A few bits needed fixing (expected), but I’m also looking to upgrade a few things – such as changing the current, manual-fold side mirrors, to auto-fold when you turn off the engine.
I called Toyota but they don’t offer an upgrade kit, nor do they seem to promote the issue. So I thought I’d ask around to see if anyone’s had success in making the switch. If so, any tips would be great.
Thanks,
Billie

Welcome to the club 👍🏻 Some of the Japanese home market Rav4 mk2 models had auto fold In mirrors, you would have to contact breakers in Japan or might find a U.K. breakers with an import rav4 in stock 👍🏻

Thanks for the info, Jase. In researching the problem, it seems like the cost far outweighs the benefits, so will have to just go with what I have.

I reckon there’s one or two of the old boys who had cars with the mirrors on the front wings eh Jase ? 😳😳

I reckon there’s one or two of the old boys who had cars with the mirrors on the front wings eh Jase ? 😳😳 I definitely did but trying to remember which cars! I am wondering if I drove cars without wing (or door) mirrors too. Not sure what age the old boys category starts though (I know you are joking with Jase).
