... though if you look, the front wheels are only just under water and the top of the wheel arch is clear. So the actual depth is going to be no more that 750mm or 2.5 feet.
Still impressive though. Interesting to see some larger 4x4s, sensibly, chicken out ...

I am always wary about driving through flooded roads. On the way from Birmingham NEC towards Lichfield last month was on this Dual Carriageway when I came across a flooded section. Started with cars coming up the hatched section on my side, which was the first warning sign. Then saw the road and on the other side a car that looked like it probably had failed to get through and wrecked his engine. Road too narrow to turn around (in my 6.7M Motorhome) and reversing would be a nightmare. So watched three cars in front of me traverse safely and just followed their route and jobs a good 'un.
Still nervous times even though not that deep!

Can’t understand why so many keep left instead of driving on the crown of the road where the water will be most shallow. My route to work used Tom traverse the Thames source catchment area and often used to flood. Most drivers knew the score and would drive on the crown taking alternate turns from each direction.
