All fixed! I dropped off the car on Tuesday, it took about 2 hours, they admitted that the mechanic should have seen this and they only charged me for the sensor and connector with 15% off.
I´m not sure of the normal cost of Toyota parts there but here in Norway where things seem so expensive:
9091905069 Sensor: 1771.57 kroner/£130.16 9098011016 Connector cover: 178.18 kroner/£13.09
That´s it for now, oil change tomorrow, should be a little easier that this has been!
Cheers and thats for your help, John

Have only had my T180 for a few months and at 137k miles i expected a few glitches, and ive had a few occasions of apparent faults with the 4x4 vsc and the whole braking system!! Stop turn off and on restart all is fine for ages but tonight coming home from work must have done it about 6 times! Plugged in my basic scanner .. no fault codes!! So ill try the battery reset idea

Update, did the battery disconnect this morning, all was well with my morning commute i even had the sat nav back ( it normally says unable to read DvD its a new disc and ive tried cleaning the lens too!)6 miles in dvd reverted to its old ways and as i arrived at work (12miles) all the brake warning lights came on ...... Dam!! Is this the brake switch fault others have mentioned? Im assuming its the brake light switch we are talking about??
