I have installed an Awards System on the Forum.
It is a way for any Club Members to show their appreciation for the help given by other Members at the RAV4 Drivers Club. This Award System (also referred to as a Badge system sometimes) is a popular feature on many Forums of all types, but we have never had one before at the RAV4 Drivers Club - not least because on out previous Platforms at Prophpbb.com and Tapatalk it was not available to us to consider.
We are running it for the next Month and if it proves popular, than it will remain as a permanent feature. If it does not, then we will close the trial.
This is how to use it:
For the Forum Member you wish to recognise with an Award, click on their name - either from their Mini-Profile in a Thread, or by finding them from the "Members" tab in the Nav Bar;
There is a new tab in the Profile called "Awards"
Note: You will not see the Awards tab on your OWN Profile, as you cannot give yourself an award :no:
Click on "Awards" and a list of Available Awards will come up
As you Hover over the Awards, a description of what the Award is for pops up. As an example the "Like" Award is shown below
Click on the Award and it will appear in the 'Received Awards' area. The Click on "Save"
And you will see a new section appear in the Profile if this is the first Award given, and you Award appearing.
The same Award can be given to a Member by multiple people. In that case, the Award only shows one, but a number is seen to indicate how many times it has been given.
Let's See how this goes! If the system is liked generally, the type of Awards can also be expanded if there is a desire to do so.
