My rav is 2014 2.2 invincible. With 235/55r18 tyres. Can I fit 255/55r18 tyres. I keep getting different answers off the tyre places so I thought I better come to the people who know know. Thank you.

I wouldn't ... the 235/55R18 belongs on a 7.5" rim - which is what you have. The 255/55R18 belongs on a 7" rim (which is what I now have, but you do not). Best stick with the OEM tyre specification ...

I read that as 2 25/60R18, which I do indeed have, and belongs on a 7" rim ... ignore me, I've lost the plot ...

From that tyre site.
Tyre Diameter 715.7mm. After… 737.7mm Circumference 2248.4mm. After… 2317.6mm Speedo error -2.98% Reading at 30mph 30mph After. ..29.11mph Reading at 60mph 60mph after….58.21mph Ride height gain 11mm Arch gap loss 11mm
So Speedo with under read by 1.98% and tyre around 11mm wider. Do check you have clearance between in tyre sidewall and suspension strut.

Its the tyre width you need to check v the clearance in the arches. Other wee issues are making sure the tyre doesn't protrude past the outside of the wing = MOT failure. I know that some folk fit oversize tyres, mainly for off-road work, but they tend to raise the suspension as well. In saying that, I fitted 245/45x18 tyres to new alloys on my 2002 model - the speedo is about 10% below real speed, but I prefer the stability compared to the original tyres.
