Hi,
I've got a 2004 Rav4 which has been totally reliable since we got it 5 or 6 years ago. The other day I was driving home and noticed that the clock had reset itself to 1:00 - I thought maybe I'd pressed a button by mistake while driving so I went to turn on the interior light to check and that didn't work either. Once I got home I got out and went to lock the doors with the keyfob but it didn't work at all - no flashing indicators and the doors remained unlocked.
I've recently changed the battery in the keyfob and the red light works when I press the buttons so it must be something else.
On further using the car I've noticed that the clock resets itself to 1:00 every time I drive it.
I read somewhere that sometimes everything can go out of sync and that removing a battery terminal and reconnecting it can re-boot the system. I tried this but it did not work.
Has anyone else experienced this?

i was going to suggest disconnect the battery leads but i can see you have done that. maybe go through the fuse panel and test all the fuses, sounds like may have blown?

How long did you disconnect the main battery as I have been told you have to leave it disconnected for minutes not just seconds. Sorry but I can't remember how many minutes.

First off welcome to the club 👍🏻 Remembering other members possible problems … fusable link on the red battery terminal . Or windscreen letting water in, and running down to the fuse box on drivers or passengers kick panels .
