Hello everyone, I have a RAV 4 III from 2008 model 2.2 D-Cat and I have the following problem: when I sit still and press the brake, the ESP light appears, a beep sounds and then the light goes out. He doesn't do that on the go. I checked the ABS sensors, changed the brake fluid, changed the brake pads ... and I don't know what else to do with them. Have you ever had this problem?

welcome to the madhouse! I've a 2008 4.3 as well and I suspect that the "problem" is the hill start system working as it should. The system is designed so that if you put your foot hard on the brake when the engine is running and the car is stationary, the brake hold the car until engaging the clutch releases them. It can be a very useful feature sometimes.

I discovered this useful feature entirely by mistake at a junction at the bottom of a hill!  Once discovered it is occasionally a useful feature ... |
