3 door NRG HERE for sale at a good price Bothy. Good call sire !! I viewed the car today - immaculate underneath - no rust. Engine runs really sweetly..can't hear it running when in the car. Bodywork - damage to wing - solution new wing - damage to n/s door - just needs buffed and polished Needs new front bumper unless I can melt bumper back into shape...looks like its been hit by a towbar.
Auto box works as it should. Did 330 mile journey this afternoon back to Glasgow - 75mph-90mph and happy running along. One wee fault we think is a possible brake pipe weeping up near the front, so will get that checked.
The car has had the rear strap extension fitted so just needs a reflector.
Inside is as new The spec might not meet the NRG but don't really care.....no wheel arch extensions means no rust on the wings. Original steel wheels...so probably get some 18" wheels and keep the steels for winter tyres.
All in all, thats me back in the RAV4 fold !! Thanks to everyone who helped; and to Mb2bt who kindly looked at another which turned out a tad rotten but I learned from what he found....thanks !!

Once the Volvo gets sold, it will give me some 'wiggle' room with the gaffer! Already started - looking for Dare Drift 18" alloys as per the number one and two RAVs of old.
Next might be looking at options for the auto box, and does anyone know whether the vvti engine can be chipped?

Great news you are back in 3 door ownership 👏🏻👏🏻 This silver car has an unusual spec but if it’s clean, tidy and rust free it sound like a good project . look forward to a few photo’s …and just for me a few of the underside 😉👍🏻👍🏻 |

Its one of the cleanest I've seen of that vintage. As discussed on another post, I think it'll go for the rust treatment then Dinitrol. I have Lanoguard, but will use that on the fire engine, much of which's underside is timber. I learnt my lesson re rust with the 2 4.1 RAVs !!

Just been back to uk i dont know what the roads are like where you are, but where i was i would be doing the reverse, and going from 18" low profile on alloys to 15" high profile on steel.🙃🕳🕳🕳🔘💥 |

Looks very good ! That was pretty much the condition of my old MX5 but like yourself I though my car would be improved but the Dinitrol treatment. I think it was Don Bob and Andy that recommended the Dinitrol and that was good enough for me 👍👍 |

Its off to the bodyshop today to get the wing, passenger door and front bumper sorted and painted. £450 all in. The chap has a good reputation so will port up pics when done. |
