Hi alfy12 and welcome to the club 👍 If you could fill in your vehicle details in your profile it would help us to know what model of Rav you need help with..

The T180 engine new will be very expensive. As these engines suffer from big problems a used one would be very risky. That engine was used in quite a few cars so shouldn’t be to hard to source.

That engine was used in quite a few cars so shouldn’t be to hard to source. can it be exchanged for other 2.2 rav4 engine I would say yes…. The basics of the 2AD engine are the same if memory serves…. The T180 was the 2AD engine but in a greater power output. This however will need to be confirmed. If it is the case an engine from a different model in the range might fit straight in with the existing ancillaries etc. That would be a far better bet than an engine from another T180.. The problem is all the kit and gubbins that go along with modern engines. It might be fairly easy or it could be a nightmare I’m really not sure…. With respect your far better off coming on the forum and introducing yourself and filling in the information so we can see what model and age you drive etc. You will get a far more positive response and there are some really clever and knowledgeable blokes here on this forum. Sadly I’m not one of them hence my hesitation to say for sure what’ll work or won’t, 👍👍
