Another £100 on the price of my little Yaris today!! This is a car I bought 2 years ago for £2,400 now valued at £5,710 - that's just mental, it wasn't even 10 grand new Problem is the (used) cars i'd maybe change it for have had similar increases, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! I mean it's fine, just fancied a change, but probably not for now

But if things are still the same come the spring then I think you could both be onto something

We do not like busy places. We tend to use the CAMC small CL's which are usually quite empty, with a max of 5 units. Agree not everyone likes them and there are some which I would not go back to. As for hotels, my wife has just done a rough calculation, and with all our expenses on the caravan (buying the caravan, insurance and storage etc.) We need to sell the caravan for a very low amount (~£1k) to break even with taking holidays without it. I think the caravan worth way more than that. But for us it is more a lifestyle choice then price. It’s not so much busy camp sites as the busy places we like to visit. We tried to get into Loe in Cornwall 3 times last September but couldn’t get parked anywhere within walking distance, So we parked further out and got a taxi in…. It’s not easy when someone is struggling to walk. When the taxi picked us up he told us we had only 40 minutes where we had parked. So it was a taxi ride in ten minutes for coffees and a taxi ride out…… Same at Fowey…. Every sector of the car park had cars waiting to park. Usually in September there are loads of spaces. Twice we tried to get parked but never did… My daughter has a house in a gated community right at the end of the seafront at Weston Super Mare. It’s been a war zone across the whole area with folk just dumping their cars and paying the fines. We are kinda limited for obvious reasons but it’s not worth the effort so we will leave well alone. 👍👍 I know Looe quite well and have family living there but it isn't very accessible a lot of the year and the present situation will have made things worse. I would park in the large car park by the river or up at Hannafore but in season (including September) they can get very busy, and neither place is great for your wife I would imagine.

We found it difficult David…. So difficult we’re sadly drawn the conclusion it’s no longer viable to us until things change if of course they ever do… It wasn’t just Looe though Fowey and Mevagissey were the same. It’s just the way things are 👍👍

Hell, it’s a nice looking thing. Bit pricey but according to all the road tests I’ve read, the best hot hatch you can buy nowadays. You should get a test drive, Clarki…..🙂
