Well after many weeks of deliberation I have traded the diesel and bought a RAV4 Hybrid.
It’s a 2018 Excel in Tokyo Red. Never owned an automatic before but it’s a joy to drive.
Tow bar to be fitted on Thursday and taking the caravan to be serviced next week so will see how it goes.
Regards
Keith

Just reading between the lines a bit, there could well be a fair amount of competition to get hold of life expired batteries as a source of materials to make new ones. How long it will be before those countries with the major supplies of "new" materials start to feel the effect would be an interesting calculation - but it's to hard for me!

Oh, come on ... the poor man's only just got the car and you want to recycle it already? Tokyo Red Pearl is a lovely colour. I'm assuming that yours is a 4.4 hybrid? Enjoy!

It is a 4.4 and it’s also a four wheel drive model which has a towing weight of 1650 Kgs. It’s got black alloys and a black leather interior and dark roof lining.
It doesn’t come with a hand book as everything is online now so not got to all the new bits like radar etc and the gear lever still holds a couple of mysteries but I will get there.
The drive is very smooth and it switches from petrol to battery without you knowing. So far so good and so much different to the diesel.
