Had the second vaccine on Friday, no side effects, all seem good so far. Took three or four days to hit home, Menachem, then sleeping started, snotters blinding me (what’s that salty taste....?), sore heid, legs felt like wearing diver’s boots. Yuch but better than Covid 38.

Being an old git I had my first jab on 18th Feb. Next day legs were like lead and felt a bit meh! That night I was shaking like a sh****g dog, not good, it went off later in the evening and I slept for England for 12 hours, fine after that. I had Covid last December and had a night of similar shakes, not at all pleasant. My second jab will be any week now. The pain in your arm is not the best, lasted a week I think
Couple of younger ones had their first jab this last few weeks, one chap had a headache from hell for two days but fine now

The instructions are to wait between 8-12 weeks. Mine was 10 weeks ago but the official record does not show that i was vaccinated the first one. It seem that it was not fed into the system, and would I have waited I would not be called for the second jab. I am not the only case, i heard about a few. If the time comes and you are not called- i would check.

Yes will do. With the first jab, I got a text from NHS, with an appointment the next day, so no messing around, just went along at the allocated time. They said the second jab will be the same format, 12 weeks later, no letter or anything, just a text

My wife and I were vaccinated at the same time, her jab appeared on the system and she could book the second one. For me, it was not recorded and i was offered to do the first one only! Cannot talk to the surgery, as they are still in lockdown mode, 119 was helpful to a point, so went to a local chemist the gives the jabs as well, and they were very helpful, and as it was 10 weeks got the second one with them.

My wife Jane had her first jab a few weeks ago (Pfizer) no symptoms not even a bad arm, her second jab yesterday she feels a little cold today (which is unusual for her) but the weather has also changed to damp and cold so maybe nothing to do with the jab, otherwise she is fine so far. I am eligible from next week so will let you know after i have mine. Just been for my first jab (pfizer) this afternoon as yet no symptoms (not even a bad arm Charlie, well maybe a little bit). Go for my next one on the 18th of June.

Just out of interest to you guys, If you are north of the Border, you don't go on line to book or get texts or anything like that - you just wait for a letter in a Blue Envelope to eventually arrive through the letterbox. If you want to find out what is happening, it is a national line to call - calling your Doctors won't apparently get you anywhere with what is happening.

Also true west of the Border - except that the envelope is Brown. In Powys, we get instructed which of the three vaccination centres to attend and precisely when (to the minute!). This is backed up with a number of online forms that you can fill out and submit if you believe that you have been forgotten or overlooked. And, in practice, the system works very well ... but you do need to know to go and look at the regional health board website.
