Came across this the other day on YouTube and I’ve ended up nearly watching all of it. The guys have got a 1980’s mini and are swapping the engine from a Celica GT4. Making and welding their own brackets, modifying parts to fit and rewiring to a new ECU. Really interesting and I know some of you would enjoy it. I think they’re based somewhere in. I must be the only person in the world that doesn't like minis Never seen the appeal, horrible little things. Great skills on show though, fair play.

Ah Minis, the Marmite of the car world you either luv them or hate them. Had a few in my time when i was yonger so did my dad, dads was fairly tweaked but i could never afford it, a friend had a 1350cc engine in his that would rev to just under 10k went like hell but you had to drive it fairly hard all the time, no good around town, he scrapped in the end, a frend of his mounted ths engine and gearbox in a 3 wheeler Messerschmitt, totaly mad, my friend then bought a mini marcus after that and put a 1400c engine in it, that was a totaly different beast, it was quick but very driveable, top speed of about 110mph, problem was stoping the thing, the marcus body restricted you to thd original 10" wheels so tiny disks.
