Handy to have it clamped after removal as nut hellya tight. Wear gloves obviously. Showed Anchorchap how to do mine couple of times.........fine silt both times very evident. Worth doing for sure. |

Was all set to order a bosch filter from opie oils this morning but it doesn't look like you get a new bottom seal with it. Emailed them to clarify but don't think the fella could be bothered checking and suggested a febi?? filter instead.
Looking elsewhere the bosch filters do seem to come with both top and bottom seals. A few quid more but if its required a no-brainer, right??
Any opinions, experience, alternatives. Many thanks.

Febi are OEM on VW/Audi group so should be good

Hi I'm not sure why you think I didn't bother to check, but I did and the Bosch one didn't have the bottom seal listed, from memory, the Mahle didn't either, only the Febi one had the bottom seal listed, hence me suggesting that one. I was very busy when you asked, so didn't have the chance to call Bosch or Mahle and could only go off the information that we were given by them, so that is why I suggested the Febi as it had both seals. Is it concrete sections with the insulation stuck on the inside? If so, what did you use to fix the Kingspan to the concrete? I'm just tackling the same issue so the advice would be welcome!
