ive covered about 1700 miles since last oil change, i usually change every six month or 3000 +miles but with convid only done about halve, would it be worth changing oil anyway, about to go uk mainland soon(manc)..would anyone bother changing.? If the oils been in a year or more I’d change it. Might be considered a waste by some but I’d change it 👍👍

Oil is the life blood of an engine ..You can never have enough changes !...yet every six months/ 3000 miles could be over the top 👍🏻

Oh well here I am disagreeing with a lot of you as I would change the oil and filter now especially if you have only been doing short trips with weeks in between.

Definitely leave it in. For me every year without fail or 6000 miles and that’s any car irrespective of requirements... I do not agree with long life servicing some manufacturers set out.
Oil ain’t that expensive neither are filters. 👍👍👍

I know modern oils are superior than when I first started using them but I still worry about all the extra engine wear from many cold starts. I worry that it will degrade the oil and also that because the engine doesn't get hot for very long moisture might also slowly build up in the engine meaning that moisture will also degrade the oil.
I am probably 100% wrong about modern oils but I would still change it.
