Some so n' so has swiped our younger daughters Aygo at the rear o/s while at work damaging what you can see, she thinks it mays have been a bus, and surprisingly they didn't leave any contact details  She wants me to try and make it look better for now so is it worth trying to or leave it until it gets repaired properly, she doesn't want to go through her insurance as she's paying a fortune already. Any kits out there or will it have to be a Toyota paint kit if there is one? Paint code is 8R7.

Lot of that will polish out. Some carefull touching in and wet sanding will deal with a lot more.

It's amazing what T-Cut and some elbow grease will do to scuffs like that.
Give it a good polish and then take a new look at the damage that's left.
If what is left and it bothers your daughter (or you), try your local Chipsaway mobile unit.
If you get the right guy who knows what he's doing and the prices are good. I've only used them once and I was well impressed.

Funnily enough a couple of the women our daughter works with have recommended Chipsaway so she has been in touch with them and is waiting for a quote so will see, they seem to have a good reputation.

Well she's had a quote and it comes in at just over £500 which she doesn't want to pay. Does that seem a fair price for a proper job?

Sounds like the kind of quote you'd receive from a body shop. I once put a big dent in the front o/s wing of my 9-3X and got a local, well-recommended "on the drive" dent specialist to look at it. He sucked his teeth, said it was too big a job and told me it would need to go to a proper body shop. Nevertheless I asked the local Dent Devil guy for a quote. He came, looked and said OK, about £160. He did a first-class job in about an hour and a half. You never would have known that the wing had been damaged (apart from a ruined inner wing plastic shield that had to be renewed). The moral of the story is don't accept the first quote you're given. There are a lot of folk who buy ChipsAway franchises, and the like, who have never worked on a car (or anything else, for that matter) and consequently do a very average job at best. They also have little idea how to price the work properly so they over-estimate to cover themselves. You might actually get a reasonably good quote if you check out the local body shops instead of the "on the drive" lot.
You may also be amazed at the improvement you can make through a couple of hours elbow grease yourself before you go out for any more quotes.
And of course, there is Charlie's very kind offer........ I'm sure with the level of his expertise, your girl would end up with the very best job possible.👍

I told her about Charlies kind offer and she seemed pleased but we will just have to see what she wants now. Strange as our other two daughters don't look after their cars but our youngest has and she's the only one who's had any damage now so she does take some pride in her little Aygo :TU:

I'd also try a few independent one man band options...however, checkout their reviews first.
There is no doubt someone will beat that quote, but like I said, check their reviews.
