Hi everyone, hope all are well and safe.
I need to buy some engine oil for topping up our three cars.
The RAV4 is the most important car and I know that a good quality fully synthetic 5w/30 will do.
Ideally I want one oil for all three cars.
I have
The Rav 2003 Petrol Toyota Estima 2014 Petrol Toyota Aygo
Now according to the Halfords website, using the cars registration numbers
It's shows Castrol Magnatec Fully Synthetic 5W-30 C2 for the Rav.
And for the other two cars Castrol Magnatec 5W-30 A5
What's the difference between the C2 and A5 ?
Can I just use the C2 on all cars ?
Obviously, there are other brands available.
Cheers
Bobby

I used the C2 5w30 in wife’s petrol Rav no bother......you may find the petrol oil to be cheaper than the Rav C2 stuff, so using it may be overkill in the petrols.....stand to be correcticated.

i could be wrong, but i think C2 its related to low ash requirements on the RAV. sure an expert will be along shortly.

Thanks
The mention of low ash rings a bell for the RAV4, just need to know if I use it in the Estima and Aygo will be ok.
I think oils I mentioned are suitable for diesel and petrol cars.
I'll wait for further input prior to purchase.
