Hi,
Is there a contact on here for buying genuine Toyota parts? Just checking before I order from local Toyota dealer or eBay. It would like to stick with genuine Toyota parts (I know costs a bit more). Would be straightforward items like discs and pads. Cheers

I couldn't believe the price of Toyota parts recently.
Ran the Rav for years with non oem parts due to its age and mileage. Cheap and fine tbh.
The Yaris is a fair bit newer and much less miles so thought give Toyota a try. No, no, no, no, no - £103 for a washer jet pump!! For a Yaris!! £30 from ebay - looked exactly the same and fitted perfectly.
To be fair to Toyota though, probably all manufacturers do exactly the same thing. I.e. overcharge.
Sorry, rant over...

Yeh, I know what you mean but BigKev has kept a very detailed history on the wee 3dr Rav4 I bought from him and I’m looking to keep that extensive and detailed history going. With good condition, low mileage 3dr Ravs getting rarer each day, I don’t mind paying a bit more. I used to have Shogun 3dr I used for towing and mileage to work and being a decent size vehicle it used brakes a lot and I found it easier and cheaper to use third party items.

Most of the profit for car companies is in replacement parts, add ons like paint protection, service deals, extended warranties etc. The margin per unit on a new cars, especially for the dealer is marginal............

Some times genuine parts are necessary... Oil filter ? Yes...Oil ? No............ So it really depends... Im with you on that pump though.. 100 %..... On washer jets sometimes we have no choice as there are in many cases no options. So we need genuine and have to accept margins are .......well ok.....sometimes 🤪 On Topic Kingo is your man. The process of buying through some Main dealer parts departments is joke territory... I want to buy parts not take part in lectures...
