I have an oil leak that appears to be comming from the oil filter housing. The mechanic that does my cars says it may be cracked.
I have contacted toyota who gave me the part number as 15620-31050, they wanted sixty odd pounds plus vat.
I have done an internet search and cannot find an aftermarket one anywhere, other than the Middle East, where the postage is prohibitive
There are lots of others with similar part numbers but none exaclty the same.
Does anyone know where I can get one from please.
Thanks
Craig

Can't see you getting one of those other than from Toyota Craig. There won't be enough sold to make it worth someone else making a copy.
I'm none too keen on the design of these housings. They have a screw-in plug in the bottom for attaching a drain fitting to empty the filter housing and mine was damaged by the main dealers technician using the hexagon on the bottom of the plug to tighten the filter housing after an oil change. This resulted in the plug becoming siezed in the housing and it hasn't been removed since. The service manager said it was dissimilar metal corrosion that had caused the problem.

So, both o-rings (large one around filter housing and filter housing drain plug one) are fitted properly?

You were right again, thanks. It was the O ring.
He fitted a new one and it now appears to be good.
Again thanks for everyone's help
