hello all im buying a 2006 RAV4 98000 miles 4x4. FSH most main dealer. Engine 2AD T180 D-4D. All over in good condition. Leather is excellent condition and all electrics working. VSR light is on but that will be dealt with by main dealer before I commit to purchase. as I’m new to Toyota is there anything I should be aware of. I know there’s an oil consumption issue but is there any nasty surprises I should expect. I apologise if this question has been asked before. Yesthats right TWO OR THREE PER WEEK. The 2AD engines are a liability end of...

Just buy a 2.2 with 150bhp. Issue gone. No?? Not quite.... Member Rambler here on this forum just had his 2012 car scrapped and it was low miles. It was the 150 engine. A few have been known to fail. Only the 4.4 cars are clear...... Well so far .......
