We just got back from a really nice weekend in Devon, having taken the M/H. 15 minutes into the trip, the TPMS warning goes off and one of the rear tyres is showing low (1.6 bar, as opposed to 4.3 bar when we started) This isn't the first time it has happened, and it is the same tyre. However re-inflated from the trusty RAC pump, and no more problems there or back. Soooooo, has anyone had a similar problem? In addition, the "colour" unit seems to lock in the pressures after the run, and only shows the correct pressure if the valve cap (sender) is removed and replaced. Spooky eh. I have already sent back the first unit with the same problem, and this second one is acting the same. They tested the old unit, and found it was ok. We are using a repeater, for the rear tyres, so wonder if that could be a cause. Any thoughts!

Is it possible the tyre valve didn't seal correctly when you checked pressures before setting off, allowing air to escape, but then sealed o.k when you inflated the tyre again.

I think you are probably right, especially as it is the same valve/tyre as before. I just wondered if anyone else had any similar experiences.

I would be inclined to try the system without the rear repeater, The range of the receiver should be enough for the rear wheels on your motorhome. I think the repeater is more for use when the system is fitted on a caravan?
