Yeah Baby! No more Steve "Call to Arms" Jones thank god! Decided to get a NOW TV 1 Month Sky Sports Pass, so that is good from now until the 26th November - which just happens to be the day after the Last Race of the season For anyone interested .... Standard Price is £33.99 for a One Month Sports Pass direct on NOW TV However you can buy a Voucher for a One Month of Sky Sports for £25 from places such as Argos I decided to actually get one of the new NOW TV Sticks (very similar in design to the Amazon Fire Stick) from Argos for £29.99, including a One Month Sky Sports Voucher - so basically an extra fiver for the TV Stick (I was looking to get one of these anyway to use in the Campervan in fact, so two birds with one stone time). Thought I would post this for anyone who fancies watching the Mexico Race live rather than waiting for the highlights package at 11PM Sunday night and trying to avoid the results in the meantime.

Goes into HDMI socket on TV, powered by usb lead same as a mobile phone and connect to your WiFi network. Then on TV goto the HDMI source (most TVs will switch automatically when the stick powers up) and use it You would create a NOW TV account, then login to that account on the stick to link them together. Then you can watch the programs included on the pass you bought on upto 4 devices (Inc a PC or tablet), and the same program on upto two devices at the same time. You can install apps for all the catch-up channels as well. Not used the NOW TV stick myself yet, just the original ones, but the stick I think will be better as the remote is wireless not IR, so don't have to have line of sight pointing to use it. Personally I think they are very good and cheaper than Sky direct (I have Sky Movies on NOW for £3.99 a month for example)

No, not quite - that's the sports pass alright but that 'offer' doesn't include the Now TV Stick. From Currys you could get this Now TV Stick which includes a 2 month entertainment pass (there are other "stick + pass" offers available) and then you'd need to buy the sports pass as well. The trick / catch with Now TV is that once you have the smart TV stick you can buy whatever viewing passes that you want ... but you do have to keep buying / renewing viewing passes to continue viewing.

there are various NOW TV Sticks with different passes. you need the 1 month Sports Pass (watch out for some "1 Day" Sports Passes though - not as useful!). Argos do good value delivery - I nearly had it bought and deliveed last night until I was reminded the local Sainsburys has an Argos in it so went and picked up.
I use the Now TV for Youtube and Catchup as well - no charges for those at all, so it is not as it if is no use without the passes. Sky Movies is a monthly cost but when you go to cancel you get an offer to carry on. I cancelled the Sports Package about an hour after starting it (to make sure I didnt forget next month as F1 is the only sport I watch) and got a half-price offer to carry on. (when you cancel, it doesn't cancel the package itself but cancels the automatic renewal so you still get the remaining viewing time)
It is not something I have used, but the "kids" pass looks very good. something like £2.99 a month and you get all the Sky Childrens channels BUT .... there are no adverts! very handy especially around Christmas time.

Just cancel the pass itself (and you can do so NOW if you want - you will still have the full month of viewing) - no passes, no charges :TU: I was a little tempted to get "proper" sky sports for the month for £18.99 but downgrading sky can be a pain - cancelling NOW TV is a click of a button

I decided to go the sky route and paid £18 for the complete sports package for a month. As you say , a month is enough to watch the remaining races and my son is keen to watch the footy.

Well if like me you found yesterdays qualifying a little dull is it because it was dull or because you watched it on a channel you're not used to ? I put it down to watching it on Sky and I think the presenters just didn't whip up the excitement ? Is it just me ? Maybe the qualy was just so boring that I couldn't get excited by it...

It was quite good at the end. Sky vs C4 .... I think in commentary I prefer the C4 pairing over the Sky pair (not keen on 'crofty') but the rest of the show I think Sky is much better (no Jones, No EJ and no Suzie W - pheww!!)
I thought Max was being a little silly saying the whole of Quali was crap for him considering he broke the lap record in Q3 and was top in Q1 and Q2 (I think?). Think he was a bit miffed at being beaten by his teammate (which hasn't happened in Qualifying for quite a while now). I bet Mr Ginger Spice was not too impressed with his comment considering it was their first one-two for what? 5 years?
