Opps! forgot to unlock this thread!
Race is live on Channel 4 Race is live on Sky Sports F1 AND on Sky One also
This is I think the 3rd race out of the last 4 that the race is live on Sky 1, not just Sky Sports. Is this a sign of general changes considering Sky Sports F1 is very poor value compared to say the Football Package on Sky Sports. Or is it that when Channel 4 show a race live, Sky are choosing to make their presentation free (for general Sky subscribers anyway)?

{SPOILER} Horrible crash with Hulkenberg and the first example of the halo being a hindrance not a help 😳😳

Martin Brundel was very critical of it at the end of the race, in this instance it wasn't too bad, but what about if it was a real fierce fire. Interesting that Billy Monger was there to test the halo in F3 to see if he can get out inside the required time. I cancelled the F1 from NowTV yesterday, no way could I warrant £400 a year to watch 21? races, they would be better off creating a proper Motorsport channel instead of just F1

There was a much faster/higher impact crash with Alonso a couple of years back where the car ended upside down in a gravel trap. Alonso got himself out of the car, within the prescribed 9 seconds ... slow speed with the hulk and unable to get out. ... Lucky that the fire self extinguished, especially with 100Kg of fuel on board. Had Hulkenberg been injured requiring a medical extraction turning the car the right way up would have been a fucking nightmare scenario Loved the end though all three champions on the start finish straight doing doughnuts!!

I think they show GP2 (F2?) as well, but yes, I think a Channel/s called Sky Sports MotorSport would be much more appealing. If you were looking at Sky Sports via NowTV, then they always release a package that gives you a discount. This year it was 9 months for - I think - £175 and available just before the first GP in Aus, so would have covered the full season. Next year it would need to be 10 months though. I don't know if I would sign up at £17 a month though anyway as you have to always watch live - no ability to use the "catchup" packages that would be available on Sky Sports direct - and that are generally available with Movies and Entertainment on Now TV. I have this feeling that Sky will be showing many races 'FTSS' (Free To Sky Subscribers) next year as opposed to just Sports Subscribers - that would probably get more money in fact, as those who want to watch F1 are much more likely to pay £400 a year to do that if they got all the general Satellite entertainment channels as well, but will not pay £700+ to get Sky + Sports or £400 just to get F1 on Now TV

I thought the race was good. I was really willing Estaban Ocan to take Vestappen in the race but sadly not to be. Ref Ocan ... 3rd Driver at Mercedes next year? Well, I would say for his career that that is a better option then sitting in a Williams propping up the grid. Is Lewis only Champion because he has the fastest car? if so, how come his teammate, who is a very capable driver, ended up 5th in Championship with both Ferraris ahead? I think that says it all. Overall be a good season I reckon. The result is as I wanted I won't deny, as I want a British Driver to win, and win fairly, and this is what happened I reckon, with some close racing. Next Season will be interesting I think with so many drivers moving around. Will Red Bull Honda challenge for the Championship? Well I have had a sneak preview of Max driving next years RBR-Honda Car ... If he get frustrated at the Renault Engine in the car in which he has had multiple wins and lots of podiums in, how will he feel with a Honda that still has shown little overall improvement from last season. Mercedes and Ferrari will be fighting for top spot again. If Ferrari sort out their teamwork and keep focus under pressure they will be be a very strong contender for the Constructors Championship (But I think Lewis will still have that extra edge to retain the WDC) Vestappen vs Gasly will be good to see, as will Vettel vs Leclerc. I'm not sure RBR will maintain 3rd place in the table and Renault will take that place - that would be very satisfying for Ricciardo Can be pretty sure Perez won't be pushed too hard by Stroll Jr. I think this is will be a backwards step for Force India. Two new drivers at McLaren. Will it make any difference to where they finish in the ladder compared to this year? Sauber should do better I think if Raikkonen remembers to turn up to race and will jump McLaren and Force India I reckon. Haas will likely do pretty much the same. Torro Rosso as well will be near the bottom, but the wooden spoon will be reserved for Williams again I think, with the Team having meetings to discuss where to place the deckchairs while Claire Williams plays her recorder. If they don't get themselve sorted out soon, I can't see any chance (currently slight anyway)of long (or even medium) term survival.
