Had our CRV serviced today. Brilliant service, all pre-paid with service plan, and they replaced the number plate holder foc. They also gave it a valet so it looks like new again!
Also spoke to the sales guy and he confirmed he could get me an MX5 from a sister Mazda dealer if I was interested in one.

David are you tempted back to MX5 ownership with warmer weather on the way 😎 I am! I was too busy to enjoy my previous mx5 but I am doing a lot less marking etc this year and it would be good to get out with the top down. Mind you I still seem to be busy even without the marking. It would also be a second car for us and that would be a bonus. We can manage sharing the one car but a second would just occasionally be helpful. The latest version has been out since 2015 so they are becoming a possibility. The CRV is probably the perfect car for my wife and it would probably make sense to keep that and at some point get something with a bit of a fun factor for me.

MX5s must be going up in value.....
When I was offered my one I used WBAC just as a reference valuation as frankly I hadn’t a clue. They offered the usual low ball offer which of course I ignored.
Since that initial offer they have increased several times and are now 900 nicker above the first one.
On Hondas... I went to Swindon yesterday to inspect a 1.6 diesel Honda Civic a 2014 one... We bought it and I drove it back...
Blimey what a great car !!! It’s fuel computer showed 71 MPG which is about right for this car... It was fantastic to drive and so comfortable. Brilliant car !!!!

Ah ha! I had the RAV "silver serviced" yesterday, and the nice receptionist at Mr T offered a free wash and vac! What joy, but when the car was ready, no wash or vac. The service guy said it was too late to do it, but I waited 15 minutes for the bill to be made up. Maybe I should buy a Honda!!!

I don't know if they are all the same but Brindley Honda are brilliant. The tyres were blacked and the car returned immaculate. The service plan when buying a new or newish car is fantastic: £599 for 5 services and not a penny to pay when serviced. It makes budgeting for the car easy - just £145 RFL and a couple of hundred for insurance.

Just wait a month or two and the MX5 price will soar! The 2014 Civic is a great car - the only problem is rear visibility when parking - but new bumpers come ready painted and are not expensive! I haven't driven one but the 2.2 litre diesel is meant to be a peach and a Civic with one is rapid - watch out for speed cameras! Anyway what you doing buying another car? You've already got more than most dealers!

Not in our experience. Car will be going to my preferred indie this year. I hate main stealers.
Ayr Mazda!! Unbelievable. Although I understand the franchise has just changed hands.
