I watched a snip of a Formula E race a few days ago. It reminded me of the bumper cars at the fairground. I didn't rate the circuit much either. Apparently they are intending using "urban" circuits for all races. It's not for me.

Better than it was and I’m glad the changing over of cars half race has stopped and the boost seems to work .

I watched the 1st race in full & have only watched the highlights of the 2nd, but I'm struggling to get any excitement out of it, it's a shame as it it will be the future, but currently not for me.

3rd race of the season on Saturday. I can see how the sound of the cars can be quite irritating and annoying (doesn't bother me as I have never been 'into' Engine noises, burbles and growls), but I am enjoying the racing, including the "gimmicks" like the Powerboost section on the track (gives 13% more power for 5 minutes but driver has to go off-line to activate it, so strategy and timing comes into it).

I watched a brief snippit out of curiosity as Son happened to mention that one of his mates was in Santiago, working for Dragon. The whizzy whining noise was too much after a very short time and I switched it off. What is with the bicycle mudguards by the way?

I watched it and there was a few crashes...most seem to be out braking issues .

Apparently the tarmac surface (I think a skim layer done by some gypsies who were doing a driveway in Peru and had some left over) was breaking up due to the high temperatures in Santiago.

Watched Santiago last night, still not loving it, but I think it's the tracks, they are so Mickey Mouse, narrow & artificial, I know the Doodles like street races but even those seem wider, it seemed to have a hairpin turn followed by another hairpin with twisty bits where there was no overtaking, it completely killed the racing. It would be good to see what they really could do at Silverstone, Brands or Donnington

Agree would like to see them on some traditional F1 racing circuits 👍🏻

The thing is on telly I agree with you 100%. However, go and watch F1 cars live around Monaco and it's spectacular. The cars and drivers are so far out of their comfort zones. However, a race it is not.

Yes I can imagine that, but the cost of F1 tickets are already beyond me for a 'normal' track, can't imagine the total cost of 2 people for a weekend to Monaco even trying to do it on a budget.
